One of those situations where the English version flows better than the Japanese original!
Attention small bay area people: there's a men's size XS denim jacket in the women's section of the goodwill on San Pablo in Berkeley with Junji Ito patches on the back. Front and sleeve need some thread removal but pretty cool. A good find for somebody!
As I misspell the name of the game (it's Tricolore Crise). Anyway what we gotta do is really support folks like Yuvi and all the translations of obscure games that are really cared for. Like don't you wanna play this weird little game?
Good car outside a barber shop in East Oakland today. Former mail truck with red tinted windows and a row of subs. There's a sticker of Nami from one piece inside. I asked if I could take a photo and he said "take a video, a photo doesn't cut it."
Do you all know what character this is? My partner's friend was gifted this (hand painted!) being told it was a Taito character who is clueless but has a lot of friends. That doesn't track for me but maybe you all will do better
I know this game is bad, but I really do enjoy the spartan, clean look of it. It's got a bit of a vibe all its own.
What makes me think so is the *only* thing on the back and disc that's not blurry is "made in Canada." surely Eden would've gotten their logo sharp at least??
Physical media is important because that's how you get art like this
This article is meant to be about 7&i (711)'s recent rebound, but this part stuck out to me. It's funny how every time there's a fuel crisis the people who sell it make huge profits.
Not a meme but something my friend saw in the eshop, and I keep thinking about it
I've seen folks talking about disc rot a lot re: physical media. While thinking about how uncommon it is for me, I realized I happened to be listening to a CD that's almost 40 years old and is in perfect shape. If you live in a non-humid area, discs just last (in my experience).
It's crazy how England always sings this after a world cup win, but everyone has their traditions I guess
Tomorrow I'll have to clean up all the fireworks garbage that has made it's way over here.
3 am. Finally getting a little calmer! There are occasional 30 second periods with no fireworks now
East Oakland is literally just this for 6+ hours. This is one of the quieter moments. Bad day to be a dog!

You gotta get on my level. Truly a detachment of limited line service
I suddenly remembered this and it was like two ancient brain cells flickered back to life
I have big regrets not picking this up at the thrift store a few months back. Whoops!
(also in case you didn't know, I really like this movie. I even have two blu rays in languages I can't understand because each has a different cut - the German one is longest at 113 mins vs 96 (us) and 109 (it))
These people have lost their whole minds. www.nytimes.com/2026/06/20/a...
Speaking of wolfenstein and ray casting sharing this excellent lynx project again, now with video!! Unfortunately had to crop it a bit because bluesky *still* thinks it's too tall. This is Senoe by @108stars-pixelart.bsky.social and Co!
Apparently there's a hidden "anime" mode for Metal Head (32X) that sets all the mission brief and store talking heads to anime girls. segaretro.org/Metal_Head/H... Here's a video comparing them: www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQRw...
