99! (and I feel like I've made better teams since, but those usually end up as 85s)
I rode RAGBRAI last week! The new MN flag makes for an awesome bike kit and made it so easy to spot folks and start conversations with fellow MN riders throughout the ride. Met some cool people. Fun Ride. AMA!
Montreal #3 World Cup matches are easy to find. Enterprising small business owners with no parking turn TVs into the sidewalk or plaza and get people to watch the matches. Montreal has a lovely vibe.
I'm in Montreal and you can just ride your bike around an F1 track. I passed some people on bike shares and some people passed me on 10k bikes. Its the best city in North America for bike riding. Bikes own this town.
yes! I've thought about "Closing Time" before. Although for Prince, I'd suggest "Lets go Crazy" more as a pregame anthem...
I hope @mnufc.com take note of the Target Field concourse heat lamps. Very nice on this rainy night
Serious contenders: 4. What we will get, an expansive NW 5. What I want, SD grouped with Texas teams. MNUFC in central. Toss the Loons a bone for being cold in the winter!
I've been thinking too much about MLS structure when I'm drawing on maps trying to figure out the divisions. 6 teams in 5 divisions. Here are the 3 most chaotic ways that will likely be what MLS picks: 1. N to S 2. AL, NL, and/or AAA host city/region 3. Starting in the middle
Counterpoint: June 2024 MNUFC Results. We aren't going to miss it. This stretch without healthy DSC, Lod, Kervin, Rosales, Harvey, was just too much depth to lose. But if we had the players, would we have had more home playoffs? CCC? We'll never know.
I got a very dry "Seattle hot dog" in that stadium a few years ago. Seattle also lost to MTL with goals from former Loons, Mason Toye and Kei Kamara. So order that hot dog! 😂
This is a recent doodle in my default doodling style. Filled up my margins in college with these - still doodle like this 20 years later. How do you doodle? Lets see it!
Enjoyable MEA ride in Iowa sporting the Dark Clouds bike kit. #mnufc coyl!
My 8 year old called it the loudest match he's been to including the Miami match). Fireworks were very loud. US Open Cup are fun. (I couldn't make a flag pole work)
The Minnesota crowd so excited that DSC and Tani get to rejoin the Loons this week!!!
The "Concacaf Fan Experience Presented by Sportswashing" outside US Bank Stadium in MPLS.
I dare you to find a single block in the Twin Cities that tops this one in Saint Paul for flag display. Seriously, I dare you!!! I would want to see it.
Any truth to my theory that MNUFC always gets the weather of the visiting side? @loonybinpodcast.bsky.social We are slightly hotter than Houston today.
Something I hadn't thought about until my buddy pointed this out at the latest MNUFC match. 🤯
The bike trail along the west side of the river from the west side of Saint Paul to Inver Grove Heights is super lovely and underrated. Flat. Great pavement. Very few street crossings. My plan is to get to Hastings and back this summer.
Active NBA players born in MN vs born in WI, who are you taking? MN: 1. Tyus Jones 2. Tre Jones 3. Suggs 4. Nnaji 5. Chet B: Coffey, Muscala, Roddy, Sims WI: 1. Haliburton 2. Poole Party 3. Herro 4. Jalen Johnson 5. Looney B: Podziemski, Hauser WI has A TON more shooting, but MN has more size/D
Massachusetts has opened up submissions for a new flag, seal, and motto. MA and New England have some good prior art to work off. Here are some concepts I came up with. Should I submit any of these? Any favorites? No gos? Thanks #newMAflag
