People surprise me every day. Sometimes, I’m lucky and it’s a good surprise. Other times, it’s bad. I saw both today.
Today was a hard day. But it was at least a hard day with good weather. Getting out of the house helped.
I took some time this morning to draw some pictures of the real star of the World Cup yesterday.

I really like Crepe Myrtles. But I like to pronounce them “creepy Myrtles.”
I got new glasses today. The prescription changed more than I realized. It’s going to take some getting used to. I feel like I’m walking around wide eyed.
Anybody else remember the TV show “Dinosaurs?” They didn’t wear pants.

Kiddo LOVES “Project Hail Mary” so I drew her a Rocky with some of his best lines. She asked if we could frame it and put it on her wall, which makes me very proud.
Happy birthday to Bill Watterson! Calvin and Hobbes is my favorite comic strip of all time. It’s brilliantly written and every panel is a mini art lesson.

I spent the last two days at a training over coding in Python, Raspberry Pi’s, and physical computing with breadboards. It was a LOT of info and I had fun, but my brain was tired by the end of it all.
I guess I wasn’t done doodling. Please go see Masters of the Universe if you can. It is such a joyful movie.

I had several Thudercats toys a kid, but I never actually got to watch the show because we didn’t get the channel. But I LOVED the toys.
I’ve been watching a bunch of YouTube videos about pipe smoking lately. I have no desire to smoke a pipe. The process/ceremony of it all is fascinating.
