I think it depends on where you live. I grew up in Philadelphia, in a semi-detached brick row home. It's probably a thing there. I've never seen anything like that in Florida. It's perfect and safe for the tortoises! This is where my girl hangs out:

I made them remove the dishwasher when I bought my house 20+ years ago. It's only me, so it is not a big deal. I shouldn't tease you because Malka's dinnerware, Corelle, is not much better than a paper plate or plastic lid.😊
She is brilliant (compared to a basset), but I don't have the patience to train her on that toilet seat.😃😄 She has an adorable raincoat, and, unlike Sully, she can actually walk in it. She just can't walk when she has 2 sweaters on.😆
I am still using my same red velvet "brush" that I've had for well over 40 years and it works like a charm.😉
Oh my, what have I done. Here is Malka - exactly where I want her to be. But the hot weather started this month and she gives off so much heat! 🥵
When I had my fence done in my front yard, I had them put it a foot away from the sidewalk for that very reason -- in case someone was afraid of dogs.😀

She has a stroller, an Outward Hound front carrier, and 2 side carriers. She is not spoiled, not one bit.😁💓

Our feral strays won't let you pick them up. I did leave the garage up a bit the other night and no one came in, but they ate the food. I do have a doghouse outside with a comfy bed - Malka has never used it.
I just fed this bird cat food. I hope it won't make him sick. I just couldn't share my Ezekiel bread, it's too expensive.
