Left Maine today. This was the only merch I found of the official flag. I saw the same pin at two shops, over the course of 7 days in the state.
In 2024, there was a new flag (based on the first official flag, used between 1901-1908) which was put to vote as a replacement. In my personal opinion, this is a much better flag. However, the referendum failed 45% to 55%
Stopped at the Lakeside Diner in New Stamford, Connecticut on the way to Maine today. Really lived up to its name!
extremely funny thing to say on a temporary wall covering up rather inconvenient construction
Post your favorite film from the year you turned 18 I think this is probably still my favorite Tarantino. 2009 honestly seems more interesting for its stinkers, such as: - Year One - X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Terminator Salvation - 2012* * actually very fun, but also too silly to take seriously
Star Trek: Resurgence - Metascore 71 Telltale style adventure is such a great fit for the Star Trek universe. You get to play through what feels like a classic episode building relationships and making choices. In many ways this feels like the ultimate Star Trek game.
The Order: 1886 - Metascore 63 This game has it all: the Kights of the Round Table kept going by passing down seats and using life-extending elixir, Jack the Ripper, werewolves, steampunk SMGs, constantly smoky alternate 1800s London. But yeah it's short and the plot is meh. Still fun!
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified - Metascore 66 IMO I think this game is mostly a victim of expectations. Instead of a traditional XCOM game, you get cool a 50s retro-future 50s aesthetic, some Mass Effect-like gameplay and conversations, and a decently clever sci-fi plot.
