Your honor, I rest my case, here is the definitive proof that Darth Vader is Count Dracula’s employer.
I always dug those all-new, all-different X-Factor suits. I’m a sucker for a team uniform though.
I thought I knew what living was…and then I biked to get a breakfast burrito.
You ever read a scary book and place it face down when not reading it? I don’t think I’ve ever read a more profane, well written, and utterly horrific book as this. Scary good stuff here. The glow-in-the-dark cover is a terrifyingly superb idea.
The Jubilee figure is really good but she slots more into the Jim Lee era ‘90’s squad for me. I do need to snag that classic Psylocke and Havok for my Outback team!
I don’t expect a Wonder Woman graphic novel from 2023 to be this prescient about government raids and extrajudicial executions but here we are. The main character kind of took a backseat to an omniscient narrator/bad guy but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
I don’t make the rules but coffee is a thousand percent better when you bike to it.
Six years ago I was a stones throw from 300 lbs. and started riding again and I thought “man, it’d be cool to ride from one side of town to the other…” Well, today I’m a stones throw from 200 and just scratched riding from one end of town to the other off my bike bucket list!!!
and Brent survived reading this grim, nightmarish, stream of consciousness, a brutal ordeal, well worth reading
I legit thought it was Cyborg Superman, my thinking was “Terminator 2 was huge and people are all in on robots!” I was shocked when he turned out to be the villain at the end. Ah youth. But Superboy was my favorite cause he was young and liked pizza, like me!
@melissacorey.bsky.social and the kids have spoiled me with some fun themed Father’s Day gifts!
I loved every second with this beautiful, messy, harrowing book. Highly recommended.
Me, this bad boy, and a couple of the best teachers in the biz helped finish moving @melissacorey.bsky.social into my former space today! Gonna miss LHS but I hope things go well for LMS this fall!
Still as magical as when I read it as a kid, one of the best children’s books ever.
The opening chapter to this volume was great, the art was fantastic, but story wise this one is all over the place. Kinda disappointing.
Thought provoking and contemplative, an amazing debut novel. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to more from this author.
