I did check before posting. That is the rate for new customers taking out a Sky Ultimate TV subscription. The cheaper Sky Essential TV package matches the licence fee at £15 per month.
Just to illustrate how geographically challenged Burnham is. A map showing, roughly, the UK from north to south with Manchester highlighted in red. How this can be viewed as the north of the UK baffles me. It is not even very far north within England. Don't expect anything good for Scotland...
A day without politics on Saturday. Going to see two local football clubs. Falkirk celebrating a top six finish in the Premier League whilst Stenhousemuir edged Alloa to get promoted to the Championship.
I knew that D'Hondt led to some strange calculations but hats off to the SNP for winning a seat with just 11 votes... 😂
A more realistic image of Sarwar with his Saltire. Edited text to reflect reality rather than fantasy.
A party political broadcast by the Scottish Liberal Democrats coming up on BBC1. Why does the programme graphics show the Reform logo? Cole-Hamilton showing his true colours, perhaps? 😂
It baffles me that the last general election was all about getting the Tories out but now we want to put many of them back into power as members of Reform. Why should we expect better from them, especially when paired with Farage, who brought on the economic disaster of Brexit? This is not change.
I hope that everyone has a good Christmas with the people who matter to them. Have a peaceful and enjoyable time.
Came across this a few times recently. I can't help but worry about which way things are going to go. #RealityCheck
Democracy in Scotland? Looking at this opinion poll, Reform would form the WM gov't. But support for the SNP in Scotland is HIGHER than Reform's in the UK. Reform get a mandate to do what they will across the UK whilst the SNP doesn't in Scotland. If we want to flourish then we need indy now.
I was lucky enough to get to see Feeder at the O2 Academy in Glasgow with my son, despite storm Amy's efforts, on Friday. Comfort in Sound is a top album and the tour provided a bit of nostalgia for times when we listened to the - then newly released - CD in the car all these years ago.
Starmer insists that what is happening in Gaza isn't genocide. A quick look at the definition of the word negates his assertion. I insist that what is happening at WM is complicity in genocide.
Keir Starmer is very fond of a union flag - unless it is part of a red ensign on a ship doing a decent act which is at odds with the Zionist state. He ignores it, then.
Downdetector showing problems with Spotify and iPlayer. Let's hope that it is not the start of some cloud service disaster that affects everything.
Excerpt showing the correlation coefficients from various groups. A figure of 1 would show the maximum possible correlation between voting 'yes' and the given groupings. A figure of -1 would show the strongest possible 'non-correlation'. (Correlation does not imply causation.)
The Scottish MSM should forget about stupid cat stories and, instead, write about stupid politicians. This pic should be easy for them to understand and use as a blueprint. Chances of them finding a suitable Scottish politician for the picture? (I can help with this...)
Ok, there is no content as I don't have an account but the columns are as shown in this pic:
Wishing everyone who reads this a happy, healthy and prosperous new year. Things may well get better in 2025! It may surprise us all. I think back to when my local council decided to create giant horses' heads in its new park. I thought they were barking. My goodness, I was wrong! #Kelpies
Dear me! Whilst it is good that Scotland seems to understand the dangers of Farage, it is depressing that, for so many people, they are hedging our bets until he gets into power. Have we learned nothing from the Johnston and Truss debacles? We need to reject the Union before he is elected.
OK, it may just be me but I find that Duolingo's year in review showing Duo drooling over Dua Lipa just a bit creepy! Who thought that this was a good idea for an educational app? The sentiment made me uncomfortable.
Just outside St Andrews just now. Can't believe that it's nearly December!
Younger son finally saw Cristiano Ronaldo last night after several 'near misses' with Manchester United. He was a bit gutted to see him strop and moan through the whole game.
From Twitter. Not really a surprise. WM is a money grabbing cesspit.
Northern lights in Tromso - where I am not! They were present here tonight but nothing like as impressive as this pic.
