Politics schmolitics. When will supper be served?

Saw this lovely creature on the front porch siding earlier this evening. It is a Clymene Moth (Haploa clymene), a member of the tiger moth family common in eastern North America.

A fairly large moth, about 3 cm in length, sits on wood siding. The moth is predominantly white, with dark brown markings on the edges of the wings. Where the brown markings meet at the center of the folded wings they form a shape resembling a downward pointing arrow in a flow chart or PowerPoint slide. The head is bright yellow, and a yellow tint can be observed in portions of the light colored wings as well.

Swallowtail trio — one of the black ones seems to have had a run-in with a bird.

We went out for a little walk in the cool night air—only 30°C now—and came home to a DKWC (Double Kitty Welcome Committee) on the stair landing. 🐈😻🐈

Calico Cinna in her cup and Tabby Timiny in his, um, Amazon Paper Palace(?) lie waiting near the front door on the lower stair landing. Timiny is getting in a good stretch and yawn.
