Saw this lovely creature on the front porch siding earlier this evening. It is a Clymene Moth (Haploa clymene), a member of the tiger moth family common in eastern North America.
Swallowtail trio — one of the black ones seems to have had a run-in with a bird.
We went out for a little walk in the cool night air—only 30°C now—and came home to a DKWC (Double Kitty Welcome Committee) on the stair landing. 🐈😻🐈
