Starting year 30 as a public high school teacher! Let’s go!!!
It was overcast but muggy AF for the #ARRSummerSeries race #4 this morning. I took fifth overall for the women and first in my age group, but it was a tough run. There were several people crossing the finishing and dry-heaving. Oof.
We got up early to run the Arizona Road Racers’ #FourontheFourth in Peoria. Thankfully, cloud cover held for the race. I took first in my age group, beating a rival mom by 10 seconds. I need a nap.
Found my last cat (RIP Tess) on the street. After she passed, this street dog found us. I think maybe Tess sent Luna to us knowing she needed people.
We came across this mom and her baby today on our coastal bike ride. She and her calf were on the path but hopped into the brush when she saw us.
We had a lovely time exploring glaciers in Glacier Bay on our cruise. Alaska is gorgeous!
Bald eagles in Vancouver’s Stanley Park-what a lovely day in Canada!
A gift from a senior for teacher appreciation week ❤️
With her permission, I am sharing my daughter’s art. I really love the light and color of this piece. #WizardofOz #Ships
Lily says hi and look at the ball she found on evening walkies.
It was a warm one for the Pancake Run. My friends and I did the double stack (10K followed by a 5K). I ran the 10K faster than my Mesa 10K, so I was pleased. I took 10th for the women and second in my age group. That 5K was 🥵. But we had fun and ate pancakes.
Flying feet! Pic from the Mesa 10K on Valentine’s Day.
Our 11yo GSD is not cowering against the pantry at the firework booms. I think she is finally going a little deaf. 😭
Came across a coati family at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum today. They were so cute!
