Found a drawing of my naked body
in the lost and found again. I'm starting to feel bad for finding the rejections-wrong faces all scribbled out. But I know it's me.
Pinning them to my wall makes me dizzy like a carnival mirror. I'm not insecure.
This year the boys with cars are offering to drive me home. I'm a sophomore with molars still coming in; it gets them all riled up. Mouth ragged nght after the old one falls out and they want to put their tongue in there. They want to smother me in dirty gym socks and jockstraps in their basement bedrooms with the TV on. They want their mom at Zumba so she can't offer us pudding cups.
You know how it is. Sometimes I want a boy to pick out all the Charms in the Lucky Charms for me. But all they say is, I know a damp corner down by the quarry. Hop in.
