I spotted these galahs & cockatoos on a block of land where an old carport stood until December. They’re picking at the roots of the new grass & clover that has covered the dirt. It’s normal behaviour & they find the new roots juicy. 🌿🐦👋🏽😀

UQ held its farewell function in celebration of outgoing UQ Chancellor Mr Peter Varghese AO at Customs House today. Emeritus Professor Mary O’Kane AC will commence as the new UQ Chancellor on the 11 July 2026.

It was a pleasure to celebrate with everyone at the UQ Cultural Sashing Ceremony yesterday for the mid-year #graduating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. There are dozens of Indigenous #students graduating mid-year, inc 8 with PhDs! A warm congratulations to each & every one of you! 💜
