Using a company's name to describe a tool *about* that company is fair use. It's how every consumer publication, comparison site, and news outlet operates. "Costco Membership Calculator" says exactly what the tool does. That's not infringement — that's a description.
.@cloudflare.social has taken a tool I made as part of my independent editorial work offline due to an erroneous trademark infringement claim. Costco's brand protection vendor auto-scanned the web, found "costco" in my URL, assumed it was a phishing site, and filed a takedown with Cloudflare.
The is complete and total BS. I in no way, y shape or form have ever or will ever "sell your email address" or info to anyone. Anyone spreading this kind of BS about Stumptown Savings is a straight up asshole.
