Watched the first episode of new GitS. Very strong start! Beautiful animation and great audio.
2026 might be the year where I've watched the most movies on a monthly average basis. Aside from Project Hail Mary, pretty much everything has been at least decent.
Just learnt that the movie is being led by an Israeli director. A bit hesitant to watch it now but for the time being, I'll lean on what one of the Iranian actresses said.
Started watching the Witch Hat Atelier anime. They're doing the manga justice with the animation quality and the great music.
Finished my first playthrough of FE3H. Went for Edelgard's route. Really enjoyed this game. I'm planning to try Dimitri's route next.
Trying out the Veritas Tales: Witch of the Dark Castle demo. Needless to say, the art is gorgeous.
Good game design is when you let me wave back to a fellow ferryman. It's the small things.
Played the Phase Zero demo. Clearly inspired by classic Resident Evil. I never played those games but I can see the appeal here. It's got style and the demo already shows some interesting setups for challenging situations.
Played the Brigandine Abyss demo. Interesting tactical RPG with a bunch of systems but I need to spend more time on it. Barely scratched the surface.
If you like shooting weak points, parrying, and devoting your life to Napoleon, Valor Mortis is for you.
Fished a bit more in About Fishing and then wrapped up the demo. Easily my favourite demo this year and now my most anticipated game.
Replaying for a bit to see if it feels any different on the new(er) GPU and CPU.
Played the demo of Nightmare Circus. Pretty charming. The combat mechanics centered around your puppet strings feel satisfying.
