Adriana Griffin taught herself enameling techniques from YouTube videos. She entered this necklace in the 2022 California State Fair.
The pendant depicts the delta smelt, a fish endemic to the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, swimming among the stems of orange poppies (the state flower). This necklace won awards for Best in Class (jewelry) and Best in Show.

on the hutt. the so called dazzle camouflage, it was based on an idea by the English naval painte Norman Wilkinson (1878-1971), who in April 1917. at ire neight or the -boat war on trade, suggested to the British Admiralty that ships be made to stand out by individual camoullage schemes of suking colors. patterns and shapes in such a wav as to deceive an enemy submarine about their range, speed and neacing. Inousands of Allied merchantmen and nundreds of warships were eventually painted in this way. Whether this enormous organizational achievement was ultmately wortnwnile can neitner be contirmed nor dismissed on the basis ofthe number of sinkings.
