Words can buzz and hum like insects in the air. I'm not actually a cat, but that's a secret.
Wilfred's teeth falling out, and being unable to stand for more than a few seconds. Those memories will haunt me. But, he'll also always be my precious golden-eyed boy. Adopted at 9 years old, and he gave us the best 5 years of our lives.
I do miss having a cat around the place. But. But I'm suspecting my reluctance to not doing a good vacuum, washing all the blankets, etc, is that I just don't want to let Mister Wilfred go.
Yeah. I'd dearly to have another little cat in the house... Just not sure I'm ready to let go of Wilfred. He was such a precious boy.
The name is Bond. Paul Williams, no, sorry, Paul Bond. Uh. What was I saying?
I keep seeing this image in my dreams. Those eyes. That tail. I miss you, Mister Wilfred.
I still kinda can't believe that WWE / TKO released Kaire Sane. On of the best professional wrestlers out there. And just... fired.
Thinking about the cats I've had to take... for their final trip to the vet. Cypher; he understood. He was tired, it was time to sleep. Wilfred, though. He was confused. Even as his organs were failing he just wanted to go outside in the rain, hunting. He didn't understand. Such characters.
I did want to share this photo : it's close to the last photo I took of Wilfred. In just a few days his kidneys had shut down entirely, flooding his body with toxins. He was shaking, he had mouth ulcers. All in a few days. I look at this picture and "I should've seen it. He knew it was coming."
Last Wednesday, I cleaned up Wilfred's bowls and tucked them away into a cupboard. Your mum and I are going to miss you, our black golden-eyed polydactyl cuddle monster You were the best cat, the best little bo Wilfred E. Pussycat, esq. ?-Dec-2011 to 21-April-2026. The sky wept for his passing
This interview with Richard Langston about The Clean reminds me of this passage from the coroner's report on Hamish Kilgour's suicide:
Sometimes, when doing the Stuff quiz, one can immediately spot a fan of a certain sort...
Pets are so precious: Sarah and I really value Wilfred, maybe even more because we adopted him at 9 years old, an "elderly" rescue. Over five years now with him, and it's been so precious. Every day.
