example adapter for CR2430 here: www.printables.com/model/138385... (I made one out of a couple of tiny scraps of wood before I could get to the makerspace printer, so this isn’t necessarily a requirement or anything)

A curved strip of wood approx 4mm wide with a retaining sliver of wood glued on top of it perpendicular to the curve, shoved in with a CR2032 battery in a CR2430 slot in my kitchen scales. A bigger, flat CR2430 sits nearby.

i practiced first with this offcut of acrylic with some holes bored into it (superglue -> CA glue, pardon)

A strip of black acrylic, with a socket and fixed notch, with four other ones nearby. The baking soda container, strip of wire used as a watch oiler, a pen grinder, and a 3mL tube of CA glue.

repaired the broken lugs on my venerable, beloved Casio DB-35H; I built up layers of superglue and baking soda, then shaped it with my lil 2.35mm-shank pen grinder

The back of the watch, black plastic front casing with blown-out lugs, which stops the spring pins from staying in its little sockets.

The built-up layers of glue, translucent white and greebly.

The lugs, after being shaped with the grinder. It looks more white than translucent now.

The spring pin reinstalled, retaining the nylon pink, white and navy NATO strap.

drive-by ad for someone else: if you’re in Sydney and after an adjustable base jack (steel, 32mm), then Sun Scaffolding / Scafeast in Villawood has ‘em for $17 a pop. (I’m using mine to make leg and tail vises for my workbench.)

A Q2U microphone shock mount screwed onto a white 3D print, which in turn is clamped onto a V-pulley sitting on the end of a moveable arm.

context: disassembling this bench to get it out of the way while I do further garage clean-up. I was worried about needing to replace the slats (felt floppy to sit on), but i think it was just the very loose bolts. it will appear on my balcony after some cleanup and reconditioning, I think.
