Another freezing morning with temperature currently just over 6 degrees celcius. Wish I had wood for the indoor fire, but just have the split system thingy on.
Gee I wonder what is worse than the awful opposition not turning up to vote on amendments to Labor's #NDIS Bill. Oh that's right Labor punching down on People with Disability and eviscerating access to desperately needed support services.
Always money for the military industrial complex and the rich. Not so much for People with Disability needing the NDIS #ProtectOurNDIS #SaveOurNDIS #StopTheCuts
Across Australia today, People with Disability are coming together to demand fairness and support by protesting against Labor's NDIS cuts. We’re not going back we’re moving forward together. Solidarity with my Disability Community. ✊❤️🔥🥰 #KeepThePromise #ProtectOurNDIS #StopTheCuts
Had fun removing the skins off the last of the tomatoes while dancing to some techno. Was fun but messy. Will be going in the freezer. Been a terrible season due to hot weather & drought. Photo from March.
Would rather disengage altogether than return to the old system of center based community mental health services that existed before the NDIS. #NDIS liberated me from the old system that caused me so much harm and above all else was not trauma informed. #StopNDIScuts #KeepThePromise #SaveOurNDIS
At the moment many of us with Psychosocial Disability feel like we are walking into a void while the path crumbles and crashes beneath our feet. Thanks Labor. Great Job. #SaveOurNDIS #NDIS
The Australian Psychosocial Disability Collective (APDC) has posted a response regarding Labor's announcement on the #NDIS cuts. #SaveOurNDIS Link to article: www.apdcollective.net/a-perfect-st...
Feeling more and more anxious about NDIS Minister Mark Butler's National Press Club address on Wednesday, given what he said at the NPC previously about People with Psychosocial Disability being next on the #NDIS chopping block.
Incredible seeing Artemis II launching into space to fly around the moon. Never thought I'd live to see it happening again.
Corellas and crows are having a competition this morning as to who can be the loudest. Quite foggy outside as well.
Regretting not being a Doomsday Prepper. Although glad I filled the tank when the petrol price was still $1.60 something.
Think I'm Melting. Hit 44°c just before 2:30pm. No current fire alerts in my area thankfully.
Driving home from Ballarat and smoke everywhere. Assuming it is due to the fires southwards in the Otways, south of Colac. Wishing the best for everyone being impacted.
Went for a short drive after going to the IGA supermarket. Fire came very close to the southern edge of town. Vast stretches of land now burnt. So glad the town was saved.
Have just evacuated from Skipton. Absolutely terrifying as it was thick with smoke.
A fire has popped up to the west of me. 41°C and blowing a gale. Feel sick.
Up early on a day with a Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating. Outside it is already windy and warm, reminding me of Black Saturday in 2009. Will be paying attention to fire alerts. Stay safe.
I see the Grattan Institute has put out another report on People with Psychosocial Disability. All I can say is Goddess help us. They do not speak for me as an NDIS participant with Psychosocial Disability. They can get stuffed with their patronising, ableist, clueless and paternalistic rubbish.
Very chuffed after working hard over the weekend to get vegetable garden up and running. Planted tomatoes, spinach, egg plants, pumpkins, zucchini and silverbeet. Thankfully water tanks are almost full as we had the drought last summer, so fingers crossed will have enough water for veges this year.
Got bit of a fright as I was walking outside. My brain saw the head of a snake in the grass and I had a panic response. Seconds later my brain realised it was a harmless Blue Tongue. 🤣
Had forgotten how good my Grandma's simple Beef Chow Mein recipe was from her P.W.M.U. Cookery Book (Presbyterian Women's Missionary Union of Victoria). Mmmmm
Rather odd press conference by the 2 elderly authoritarian bastards in Alaska.
