If you’ve ever wondered why pictures of the Denver airport look kind of like a bunch of tents crammed together, what’s actually going on is it’s like a bunch of tents crammed together.

Quick online search and it looks like I have house finches at the feeder this morning.

I’ve also participated in a couple of late-night runs along the “Extraterrestrial Highway,” in Rachel, NV.

I think watching birds at a feeder is just as relaxing as watching fish swim in a tank. It’s also less work to refill the feeder than do tank maintenance, so I’m a lot more likely to keep it up.

It's extremely on-brand for Oregon Trail that as soon as I got this ornament home I dropped it on the floor and had to glue it back together.

Below the wagon is the notification "You have died of dysentery." The ornament has a couple of cracks in it where it broke and I glued it back together.

And scorpions actually do glow under black light. You should check it out. I took a scorpion pinning class at a local curiosity shop. They had some black lights around, so I tried it out.

A hand at the bottom of the image holding up a flat piece of white styrofoam. There is a dead scorpion pinned to the styrofoam with straight pins, the kind used in sewing. The pins are holding the scorpion in position as it dries (the scorpion was dead long before it was pinned). The styrofoam is being held under black light, and the scorpion is glowing a kind of light bluish-green.
