Raising a hand, the king continued, "It's alright Catherine, I know the boy has learned his lesson."
Clenching his fists in his lap, it took everything in him not to run. He was trying to get under Klaus' skin, and it was working.
"A king's role is never an easy one," Gregor's voice boomed with authority as if he needed to establish his importance. "Tough decisions will need to be made, and todays was no harder than any other."
Was this a lecture or a punishment? Whichever it was, it was only fueling the sizzling fire Klaus was struggling to keep under control.
"It takes a good king to be able to make those decisions," he added, pausing to watch his son carefully. "For now, our people are safe."
"And what happens in two weeks?" Klaus quietly asked.
"I thought we were done with this," his father groaned.
"Gregor, please," Catherin pleaded, but her pleas went ignored as Gregor took to his feet, slamming his hands on the table.
"A good king—"
Klaus rose to his feet to match him, "A good king doesn't sacrifice their own children to make up for their own negligence."

Wanted to jump on the Frieren drawing trend. I don't usually draw this angle often, so this was nice practice. This was drawn in Clip Studio Paint Pro. The trees in the background are a tree brush that's like a stamp, which is why the leaves look off. No part of this was ai generated. #art

Alright, the ssd is in the new old laptop. I’ve got it plugged in with the universal adapter. And it’s ALIVE! Time to get it a battery so it doesn’t have to stay plugged in to work. And I do need to get something to keep the ssd from falling out of place. But it works!

It’s been interesting going through the outline again for “Dark Connections”. I’m definitely going to be keeping as much as I can from the basic outline. Some things from the chapters I had written previously I want to salvage, especially the nightmare sequences. I’m excited to rework it. #writing

Rereading the story I’m reworking. It was one of a handful of unfinished stories I threw into an edit copy to figure out what went wrong with them. I was reading through it to find the villain’s name and I definitely need to salvage some of those nightmare sequences. They’re so good. #writing

I am determined to get this computer running as smoothly as I can for a 2010 laptop in 2025. The keyboard will be the last thing I replace. Right now the focus is the battery and the ram. The hard drive was already replaced with a ssd. It’s up to Windows 10, but I’m gonna hold off on Windows 11

There’s something weirdly surreal about seeing both Cortana and Copilot on the same machine. Honestly, I prefer Cortana. I’ll take the bare basic digital assistant over the inescapable fully gen ai terror that is Copilot.

IT’S ALIVE!!! We’re up to Windows 10 now on the old college laptop. Needless to say, I’m pretty darn proud of myself for being able to save this thing. It’s been my backup for years now, and now that the hard drive has been replaced it can keep up the good work. #laptoprepair #tech

I am nothing if not determined. After a lot of opening and rescrewing in the bottom plate because of a media failure, I managed to get the og windows boot disks working! It’s time to revisit windows 7 baby!
