It’s been about a year since I got hooked on shiny hunting in Pokémon. To celebrate, I thought I’d start a Shiny Badge Quest in my favourite game of the series, Heart Gold! After 5 days and 3000 SRs on the dot, I got my starter! Yay!

I got a Miyoo Mini+ as an early birthday gift from Pete and haven't been able to put it down since. It's so cute and the screen is so crisp. It's become my little retro Pokemon machine. Currently playing through Leaf Green and Emerald Seaglass on it. 💚

I can't afford to buy a Switch 2 yet, but I did just discover that Retro Achievements is a thing and am now trying to get mastery in Pokemon Yellow. Super looking forward to revisiting some old games this way. Here's my progress so far!

I’ve been really into Gen 2 shiny breeding lately and so here is a #makeaterriblecomicday2025 comic inspired by that.

A drawn comic that starts with a pokemon trainer carrying 5 eevees. They say “Man, I am having NO luck with this shiny eevee breeding.” They stop and think, “I wonder if I should try my luck with a different pokemon.”

This is Rumble! We came up with his name after watching him persistently start wrestling matches with the much larger cat living with him in his foster home. He was a very tiny guy at the time, but that did not stop him. He’s also a purr machine!

My cat, Rumble, loves to hang out on the top of doors, but hasn’t figured out how to get down by himself yet. Usually we help him, but today it seems he tried to make an attempt. Here is an artistic rendition of how I found him.
