Damn, last night’s Spoon show felt wonderful. Big hits, deep cuts, even some new stuff, and it all rocked so ruthlessly hard and tight. Good reminder that they’re one of the very best bands of my generation.

The headline is typical glib NYT trolling, but here’s a graf that has these pathetic chuds dead to rights. Charging women $55 for the privilege of cleaning up after your loser ass? How powerful and manly!

Almost the only women on the grounds, other than venue employees (and one journalist), were hundreds of volunteers from Grace City Church who each paid $55 to be there. (General admission for men was $199.)
