Thought I'd take a crack at drawing this cute little bat. Original photo by Anton17, I found it posted by @rfksbrainworm.bsky.social on here. I think I could maybe learn to draw some more animals in the future.

Having a chill Saturday, brewing some Tempa Black tea from @white2tea.bsky.social and marathoning the Twilight movies (beyond the first one they are new to me). The first one isn't as cheesy as I remembered, just the odd silly moment or line. Looking forward to Michael Sheen showing up eventually!

This week's #OliveArtClub is a paintbrush. I tried a different style, looser, more scribbly with a Pilot Parallel fountain pen with a 3.8mm stub nib. That really changed things up. There's a lot of shimmer in the coloured inks I used, which was fun but the paper didn't hold up well to being so wet.

I'm coming in late with this week's #OliveArtClub. But here is a teapot. I didn't want to splatter the darker colour ink over this one because it would lose all the detail, but I still wanted to try to get some of that amazing blue on to the page somehow. This was my solution this time!

Here is my apple for #OliveArtClub. So what happened is the initial ink splatter just went too big. I tried give it better shape by adding more splatters to make it look at least a little like artistic choice. Lesson here - start smaller and add because you can't really remove ink!

Here's my take on the #OliveArtClub Ice Plant. What a crazy flower this is. I found it much more of a challenge, trying to find a way to keep all the detail more simple. Turned out a little messy. Still having fun though

I'm rewatching 'The Wizard of Oz' from 1939 and on the way to kill the Wicked Witch after leaving Oz the Scarecrow just has a freakin' gun. LOL. I did NOT remember that! It looks like a Munchkin-sized gun, judging by the trigger. Who knew the Munchkins were carrying guns with their lollipops?

#Fantasmicalloween Day 29: Jolly Scarecrow We’re 2 days away from Halloween! I think I would have preferred drawing a scary scarecrow instead of a jolly one, again not really my wheelhouse, but I think he’s jolly enough for the task. I got to use some brand-new inks with this one. #Drawlloween

#Fantasmicalloween Day 26: Toad Wizard He’s a wizard, and a toad. He’s a toad wizard. He can conjure fireballs or something. I tried colouring this one digitally for something different and found it just as hard as painting, but at least there's an undo option. #Drawlloween

#Fantasmicalloween Day 20: The One Who Speaks to Ravens I thought the flowy forms would be fun to do. I painted heavy with the ink and used water with the background, the sketchbook pages don’t hold up well but I like the final image. I’ll have to get a watercolor friendly book next! #Drawlloween

Okay, so I kept working on this and found a way to delete the bad arm some more by adding details to the carpet. I'm sure the design isn't era-accurate, but whatever. I think it helped a lot, I'm less embarrassed by version 2.0.
