More renovation progress. Tore out the 90s railing in landlord white and replaced it with steel posts/tension wire. Need to do the molding, but I had a brad nail push back through some trim I was reinstalling and it went into my thumb. So I'm on PUP for a few days.
Gallery rail costs about $100 per shelf. Or you can get hammered finish spray paint, dowels, and crafting wood bits for $30 total to do 8 shelves. All it costs is hours and hours and hours of effort and your sanity. Oh and some blisters.

When my house was built in 83 it had a galley kitchen and a weird front living room. Most people in my neighborhood knocked out the wall and made it a great room with an island. I ripped out the island, made it an eat-in kitchen, added an office space, and added OVERHEAD LIGHTING BITCHES BOOO YA

Pro tip: the only reason to buy all of your appliances in the same brand is to make the handles match. We're getting a new oven for this kitchen reno and it's stainless with a black handle. Instead of a new fridge, I bought black handles for $80.
