Either I: a. like to do a few reps every time I walk from the dining room into the living room, or b. am gluing down a transition strip between the hardwood and the tile.
Layin' a wet one on the crown of thorns, as one does in a moment of pious contemplation.
Shaping some register covers to fit with the hardwood in our house. #woodworking #CNC
Either the spare for my work trailer suffered a catastrophic, stationary failure or someone needed a spare worse than I did.
Every year I make a new medallion for the headboard of the crib/bed that I built for my granddaughter when she was born. This year she asked for a dragon. Woods: Leopard wood - body Cherry - belly Zebra wood - wings Osage Orange - spinal Fringe Ebony - horns Ash - face #Woodworking #CNC
Chillest swallows ever. I was literally 3' away from him when I took this with my phone while he sat on his favourite perch, the rain gauge. This is right at the back step off the deck, so we pass him like this multiple times a day.
Good thing today's a hiking day, 'cause those Whitecaps say the canoe isn't getting in the water.
Billions and billions spent on artificial intelligence, and "Moby Duck" is the best Google Keyboard can come up with.
How not to sign. 1. Put gold text on a drab green background. 2. Cram the equivalent of the first two chapters of Moby Duck onto one sign. 3. Use a 9 pt font. 4. Place it 10m back from where people are likely to stand.
Last year we put out oranges, but we couldn't entice them to feed, despite the fact they nested directly above our back patio. We heard them for the first time this morning, and within a couple hours we've had at least two males and a female visit for a snack.
We have the most chill pair of tree swallows in our back yard nest box this year. We can walk within three feet of them and they don't budge. But even more impressive that noisy tile saw is ~5' from that swallow's perch, but he'll just sit there and watch me cut tile all day. #birdwatching #birds
Just take a moment to savour the irony of posting this message over what is clearly an AI-generated image. 🤷♂️
I commented on someone's FB post the other day that we hadn't seen many male goldfinches yet. Then all of a sudden this morning the feeders are swarming with at least 10.
Here's another example of someone who's posted a meme, has been told multiple times it's a misattribution (i.e. Reznor never said this.) but refuses to take it down. These people will always get a block from me. More interested in clicks and likes than the truth.
Someone please square this circle for me. Honda's just giving up. 🤷♂️ To be clear, I've been a fan of Hondas and Toyotas my entire life, owned several of each. But retrenching into hybrid production at this juncture? They deserve to be crushed.
First can I was able to get open was fresh. That's a good sign for the day.
3 cans of ABS cement. What are the chances they're not all solid lumps? Stay tuned.
While I certainly don't envy Charles the task, I think we need to acknowledge that part of being a Royal has always been meeting with despicable people. The Queen endured decades of it.
I put the patio furniture out this afternoon; IDGAF. Next, THE SNOW SHOVELS ARE GETTING STUFFED IN THE SHED.
The tree swallows showed up today, two or three weeks earlier than usual. Boy, are they in for a rude awakening tomorrow. #birds
In that case, you'd think they'd be a bit more thankful. www.nytimes.com/2026/04/17/w... #unfortunatewordchoice
And on The First Day of Seventeenth Winter, he gazed out upon the land. And, lo, he was displeased.
