Author of Undeadwood and Welcome to Stormsport. The only two things stopping me from playing the lute for the London Philharmonic Orchestra is: 1. They don't have a lute player position available and 2. I can't play the lute.
Oil on canvas board. Liquin. Cad orange. Primary red. Paynes grey. Black. White. Ultramarine. Burnt umber. Nice way to spend 40 minutes. No plan, just picking up a brush and seeing what happens #art
Oil on canvas board. Liquin. Paynes grey. Raw umber. Alizarin crimson. White. #Art
I'm not one who enjoys blowing smoke up my own fundament, but I truly believe I've written a great book. Honestly, I'm naturally self-deprecating, I wouldn't ever declare such a thing if I didn't think it was true.
Work in progress. Not sure how I'm taking this forward. Super loose? Correction? Lean into impressionism? I'll figure it out. Probably.
90x60. Oil on canvas. Mostly raw umber, cad orange, white, Prussian blue, Paynes grey. Wondering if I could do that again in an extremely loose style. #art
Had to try out the new easel. A quick 40 min painting. #art #MerryChristmas
Landscape in oils on canvas. Liquin. Prussian blue, paynes grey, burnt sienna, vandyke brown, lemon yellow, white.
I'd planned to write today. Yesterday, I mentally prepared myself to have a long 7-8 hour writing session on my new novel. So, naturally, I painted this instead...
If we can get 3 other religions to find people do to the M, the C, and the A, we might just get through these turbulent times without nuclearing ourselves to extinction.
First attempt. Oil on canvas. Liquin. Burnt umber, sap green, lemon yellow, crimson, Prussian blue, yellow oche, cad yellow, Paynes grey.

I'm happy. Are you happy? We're all happy. Everyone's happy. Be happy. Happy, happy, happy. Happy Christmas. Pass me my happy shooty killy gun of happy. I want to be there when they get down to the last After Eight mint.
Palette knife, liquin, oils, about 2 hours. Wet on wet. This is such an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours. It won't win awards, but it'll give you joy. Give it a go. #art
My first landscape only using a palette knife. I love how the mountain turned out. It looks much better on the canvas.
