Finished Wolf Hall. What a magnificent series. While my historical interpretation of Thomas Cromwell differs, this is so beautifully written and acted that I can't help but love it. A lean 12-episode series that demands your attention and asserts its relevance for modern politics. It's a 10/10.

Holy hell, I love Avowed! Pure RPG joy. Typically sturdy writing from Obsidian, and the best first-person melee combat since Cyberpunk 2077. With this first game establishing the core systems, an expanded sequel could elevate this formula into greatness. Jason Schreier is right on with this take.

It's just lucky the British surveyor who served as Mount Everest's western namesake had an appropriately grand and big-sounding name. We could just as easily know the tallest mountain on earth as Mount Shufflebottom if we got a little less lucky on the surname.
