Don’t sleep on the governors races, and state level races in general. In many ways, this are much more important than driving up the margin in the House. Governors provide a critical counterweight to Trump that a few more House members simply don’t. State legislators are critical as well.

AI will manage the robots, robots will maintain the robots, and eventually they will stop failing, and will fill all the gaps. AI, and AI controlled robots can write books, arrange flowers, make and star in movies, mow the lawn, build houses, and change diapers.

Thiel is an authoritarian freakshow. But the notion that there has been some broad technological stagnation is overblown. I mean, in the same breath is he is giving his thoughts on AI, which is likely to be the most significant technological achievement in human history.
The focus here is establishing deterrence. If Russia actually does launch some sort of attack, Europe needs to respond forcefully. It is uncertain what Russia will do, but it is likely that the best response *will* resemble something like conventional war, or at least point to that.
I never witnessed it personally, but when I was a teenager I remember it being in the ether that it was cool to beat up trans people. I think vice squads harassed them? But they really have existed forever, so what do we need to do to ensure they are protected under the law?
The main issue with fully autonomous drones is that compute is expensive, both in terms of power and weight. The more autonomous a drone is, the lower the range will be. This is especially a problem for battery powered drones, but to a certain extent it applies across the board.
On what basis do they declare this false? Nobody got birth certificates in 1914, and if he arrived as an infant he would not have had a foreign accent. Actually getting naturalized would have taken a significant amount of work. Nothing prevented him from simply lying, or even from being mistaken.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the New Deal era lately. Reagan put the final stake into it as a political force, and then Clinton created the current model for the party. But the things that discredited New Dealers, Vietnam and oil shocks/inflation, are something we can fix now.

As we fight to turn Texas blue, we need people to understand what the administration is intending to do. So this is important for why we need to fight there (among many other reasons), but it will also help us win. We need to educate people, get them registered to vote, and turn them out.
What does this even mean? Israel can be forced to move. Not to say it will happen, but Egypt and Turkey may be able to close the Eastern Mediterranean to the U.S. Navy in a few years if they choose to do so. The mid-range strike drones used by Ukraine already operate at the necessary ranges.
