We use to go to Eminence on vacation when I was small. (early to mid 60's) We'd always stay in some really rustic old tourist cabins from the 1920"s over the bridge and on the river. Probably where it looks like Adventure River Resort is now. In the 70's we'd backpack out of Owl's Bend. Good times.
Growing up across the river in Illinois whenever we wanted to do some backpacking, camping or floating, the Ozarks were the only good place to go. This is one of my treasured photos from the olden days sitting out a rainstorm. I'm in the center, RIP Crazy Dave and Mark.
