I'm not trying to hate on this account. It's also two days old so I don't want to zombiefy the post. As a member of a Native tribe who's lands cover part of the area described here as "Mexico," I'd like to remind people that giving parts of the US "back" to Mexico isn't land back.+
In @hillarymonahan.bsky.social thread about crafting, I posted a toille (thank you, to the person letting me know that term!) of a coat I'm making. Well, I finished the coat!
I'm making a coat!! The one that looks finished is a muslin mock up? of me practicing the pattern. The one overlayed is the actual fabric and it's in progress.
"Kids, go play in the Silent Hill beach before the Sun Demon rises and scorches us all! Man we should have read the actual reviews on this AirBnB."
DAMNIT!!! Below 54 or whatever it's called is doing a Scarlet Pimpernel concert and I won't be in town!!! @mynameispurpose.bsky.social
I actually have space to spread out and cut my fabric! What even is this luxury?!!
Caveats before the question/thread. 1) Username has been removed. I'm not trying to make fun of them. I agree this is a problem. 2) Please don't go looking for them, because of that. That being said, there's a bunch of OTHER caveats about location but I've been relatively car free in Houston.+
now that I'm thinking about it, she's either the most efficient waiter at Waffle House, the nurse who's the best at drawing blood, or this lady from Office Space
This is about the son in The Birdcage. Is there anyone on this planet who has seen La Cage the play, the movie, the musical, the Birdcage, and come out going "you know, the son had a point"? EVERYONE is in agreement that the son is categorically The Worst.
The NYC Gay Men's Chorus was founded in 1980 by a former member of the SF Gay Men's Chorus, founded in 1978. This picture was taken in 1993. The men in white were the only original chorus members to make it out of the AIDS crisis, which was still raging at that time.+
There's that thing where you don't wanna be parasocial but you come across a Lego model of the Erebus and Terror and go "I think @swordsjew.bsky.social might like this" (the Mystic Seaport museum is hosting a traveling "Lego models of shipwrecks" exhibit)
...it's more complicated than that? Even this link says so. Literally everything the Nazis did had a European precedent long before Columbus touched foot over here. Did he take *some* inspiration or use the US as an excuse? Yes. Can we lay all of the sins of the Nazis at the feet of the US? No
obviously the lunch box trees are always in season and don't attract vermin.
Sometimes I draw stuff and I'm like "ugh, I'm a terrible artist" and sometimes I come across things I've drawn that make me go "...damn, I should draw more!"
Chat, is it woke to declare all tribal enrollment is sus because of an AI art headed article and American government enrollment?
I see a lot of people arguing with accounts that look like this. They don't even follow accounts like Cats of Yore or any of the early follow back accounts. TikTok has a similar thing with private accounts with no followers or videos. I think social media would be better if we stop arguing with them
You're not just repeating "facts" nor are you making harmless claims. That being said I don't need to continue this in Rev Daniel's thread.
I went to go see the Raphael exhibit at the Met. Like I went outside and touched grass. I also worked out. It's nice out there. Art is cool
I'll only see The Odyssey if they do a historically accurate Helen of Troy
