By contrast, it was Romney who, in February, became the only Republican senator to break ranks with his colleagues, voting to impeach the president. “Corrupting an election to keep oneself in office,” he said, is “perhaps the most abusive and destructive violation of one’s oath of office that I can imagine.”

Interracial and same sex marriage were progressive causes rejected by the majority of Americans for decades. Most Americans opposed interracial marriage until somewhere around 1988. In 1996, 68% of Americans opposed same-sex marriage. Change did not come by hiding in the shadows and hoping.

How battery storage with renewable energy overtook gas power generation to meet evening demand in Queensland Australia between May 2024 and April 2026. A series of graphs (one per month) show how the evening peak in power demand in Queensland, Australia, was met mainly by gas power in May 2024 (top left, in ochre) but then declined month on month and was overtaken by electricity discharged from battery storage (in blue), until by March and April 2026, peak demand was met by battery storage discharge alone (bottom right).
