Okay, this kind of explains the time Bluesky caught Pod Save strays as the place where you could find people who had a positive opinion of the Democratic party, which is wholly counter to my experience here.

Moreover, these supporters thought that their Democratic counterparts on Bluesky were doing Chuck Schumer’s bidding, coming down on Platner because he was the only candidate in the race willing to label Israel’s atrocities in Palestine a genocide and suggest that we should all stop financing it.

Racicot said she tried to separate herself from Platner by telling him she couldn’t be in that room anymore, after which he followed her to her bedroom and had sex with her against her will. She said he also ejaculated inside of her despite her telling him not to, as she was not using birth control at the time.

She went to clean herself up, she said, and when she returned, Platner had fallen asleep. She contemplated waking him up to kick him out, but worried he could hurt someone driving in the state he was in.

The following morning, she said, Platner tried to put his arm around her and she pushed him away. She said she asked him whether he remembered what had happened the previous night; according to Racicot, Platner said he didn’t remember. Racicot said she told him to leave and never contact her again.

Racicot said she waited several weeks until she got her period to ensure she wasn’t pregnant, then sent Platner a private message on Instagram saying that the encounter was not consensual and she did not want to hear from him ever again. Racicot had no further contact with him after that, she said. Racicot said she later deleted all her texts and social media correspondence with Platner as she tried to move on from the assault, and said she has not been able to recover the Instagram messages she sent him about the incident.

Appearing on MSNBC’s “All In with Chris Hayes,” Platner was asked about text messages reviewed by CNN and The New York Times showing that his former girlfriend, Lyndsey Fifield, told friends in August 2025 that Platner “has a Nazi tattoo on his chest” and that “it’s a Totenkopf” — a reference to the skull-and-crossbones emblem used by Nazi SS units.

Asked how Fifield appeared to know the tattoo’s Nazi associations before he says he did, Platner maintained that he was unaware of the symbol’s meaning at the time but acknowledged he could not account for her apparent knowledge.

There's no daylight between Musk reposting a comment that the only thing stopping men from raping women are other stronger men and the worldview that Platner is espousing here. Both are linking safety with violence, saying it takes bigger monsters to defend women from monsters.

He had what she described as a “warrior ethos” and would fantasize about killing people he deemed a threat, she said. She said he told her that rape was about power.

It was something that stuck with her through the years, Ms. Fifield said.

“He said this a lot: If anybody ever broke in here, I would rape them,” she recalled, saying that he added that it would not be in “a sexual way, not in a gay way.”
