This one is in my local park. It's a copy of the Farnese statue made in the 18th century and restored in 2004. In the hand behind his back he's holding the golden apples from the garden of Hesperides. As teenagers we used to joke that they were actually parts of his anatomy missing from the statue.

A tetrahedron shaped piece of quartzite I picked up at the Devil's Chair at the Stiperstones in South Shripshire.

This might sound pedantic, but it’s actually called Rowley’s House. Rowley’s Mansion is the brick building adjoining at the rear.

'The Left Hand of Darkness' is IMO a work of genius. Another of her early Sci-Fi novels I like a lot is 'City of Illusions'. Here's my current reading, also a couple on the kindle.
