There was a mishap today. Stanza ran over my art stuff, spilled over the water, got her foot wet, stepped on my watercolours, reactivated them with her wet paw, and left little foot prints everywhere. I checked and the paint is non toxic at least

Kitten introduction. I think we're getting close to them being able to share the house. We had a group play session, where they would take turns playing with the toy I was waving around. It went really well
Kitten introduction update. Stanza broke out of her room, ran all over the place and even got pretty close to Nocturne. Nocturne didn't hiss once during all this, which is a huge success. Decided to give them some wet food while they were both out, and I took a photo

Evidence that Nocturne is okay with the kitten as long as I'm holding her. He walked up, he even turned his back, although, that glance at the end there was my signal to put her back in her room. He didn't hiss or anything, but that was not an approving glare 😬 #caturday #cats #catsofbluesky
I should add that Nocturne has always been a very nervous cat, and him hissing is inevitable. He would hiss and run when Canto came home smelling like vet, he'd hiss and run when Canto had to wear a cone.
Yeah, him and his brother Canto were best friends, but Canto passed a few weeks ago. Nocturne has been going through a lot lately. Really, it probably was too soon to get a new kitten, but when I was kitten browsing this thing showed up and she is just such a special little lady
