PSA for those melting in the heatwave: Living in Mallorca, ceiling fans are transformative. We have aircon, but almost never need it. If you can't install a permanent fan, these light-fitting units are cheap and, for the price, highly effective.
A photo thread about China. I last visited 13 years ago, (Tianjin and Shanghai) where glitzy shopping malls were a revelation, in stark contrast with dirty streets and grey smog outside. Wife and stepson returned from a 10-day trip last week (Shanghai, Xi'an, and Beijing)...
