Trump told reporters today that the $13 billion he took from Venezuela is being used to "run the country." He should be challenged to show exactly what money went where. Otherwise, we reserve the right to consider the possibility that the money went into his bank account.
In his novel 1984, George Orwell wrote that the purpose of the “Ministry of Truth” was to revise the past to ensure that nobody could prove that history happened differently from what the Party said. No legitimate president would ever do this.
It's time for somebody to submit a writ of habeas corpus to Mike Johnson and ask him to produce the body of Mitch McConnell.
Fifteen minutes or so into Trump's speech at the WHCD this evening, he'd already mentioned Trump Derangement Syndrome several times, the Epstein Ballroom, and a host of other irrelevancies. Every journalist should walk out. While he's still speaking. Show him what free speech really is.
We're way past the point at which Trump should've done something about ICE and its terrorist activities. He should be charged as an accessory to murder. He is no less responsible than the men who pulled the triggers.
Breaking News: Trump has promised that the receipts from his birthday UFC cage match event will cover the $324 billion we now owe Iran. Your worries are over.

Let me get this straight. While Scott agrees that inflation is up, meaning we're all spending more for the same goods and services, we still have more money in our pockets thanks to Trump. Because he did what exactly? Send us all checks that covered the rise in inflation?
Every time you or a candidate you've endorsed loses an election, you can't say that the election was rigged. The more you refuse to accept the results and point your finger at democrats, the less likely people are to believe you. At some point, they'll just tune you out. Where will you be then?
We don't need artificial intelligence; we need independent thought and critical thinking.
The balance of Nature is sacrosanct; protecting it is in our own best interest. We can either tend to our own needs, forgetting those of all other species, or we can be the caretakers of all of us at once.
In response to our juvenile wannabe dictator posting an AI image of his pathetic self throwing Stephen Colbert into a dumpster, it's time to heave hefty bags of garbage over the fence in front of the White House.
The DOJ made a deal with the IRS to settle Trump’s lawsuit for $1.8 billion, a special fund to pay his January 6 insurrection army for future security service in the upcoming November elections and beyond. American citizens are now totally justified in refusing to pay their income taxes.
There needs to be a website that lists as many of Trump’s public events as possible. Every day. Then, there need to be protesters showing up at every one of those events. And we all need to apply for a chunk of that $1.8 billion slush fund. Legal, active resistance. Every day.
Today American citizens marched across the Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama, 61 years after the first march contributed to the passage of the Voting Rights Act. That the Supreme Court made their protest necessary is a travesty. May there be good trouble until this shameful injustice is rectified.
After TN Gov. Bill Lee signed its new gerrymandered district map into law, House Speaker Cameron Sexton removed protesting Democratic members from committee assignments, leaving their electorates unrepresented. In less than a week, TN republicans have taken their state back 126 years.
Sixty-two years. The Supreme Court is a time machine, taking us back to Jim Crow.
Your Supreme Court in action. We're not back to 1861 yet, but we're definitely on the way:
While it's still uncertain what happened at last night's WHCD, the real tragedy is that we now live in a country that doesn't trust its government enough to tell us the truth. That what should be a straightforward analysis of the events can't be taken at face value. Welcome to the Gaslight Zone.
But these insurrectionists got to vandalize the same Capitol and receive pardons from their inciter. And you wonder why there's an oppressive sense of injustice under this administration.
