And this a is a cool shot I got on the last day I was in Nice, France. It finally rained after the crazy heat wave and we were treated to some pretty spectacular clouds and ocean views.
In honor of the Bluesky mods finally being nice to me and taking the rude designation off my account, here is another shot from my trip to Iceland this summer that exceeded my wildest expectations.
Forgot to mention, did a little seven day road trip around Iceland a few weeks back. Already started daydreaming about the next time we’d make it out there before I even got on the plane to my next travel destination.
If there is a more obvious visual metaphor for the ‘swamp’ being in Washington DC, I surely don’t know what it could be.

Always amusing when the Bluesky discovery tab seems to be having a conversation with itself.
Also, when we flew in, the plane had to circle for almost another hour just to wait for a severe thunderstorm to pass over the airport. Flying back across the US treated us to this very very active thunderhead not far off from our flight path! Flying in the modern age is kind of insane, folks!
Please boost this (from SFGate) everywhere and demand the Democrats declare this administration a terrorist organization.
Another picture from Kyoto, near Arashiyama region. I really loved Japan. I loved the Cinque Terre and many parts of Southern France when my husband and I took trains and road trips through the two countries, but Japan really had me enamored and wanting a return trip. Portugal will be next through.
Anyhow, here’s a photo from the gorgeous Arashiyama area of Kyoto. Kyoto was spectacular this year, we even stumbled into an awesome cherry blossom festival at the local park and ate a bunch of fried foods and ice cream. Whole lot of tourists from literally everywhere though!
Honestly wouldn’t hate just going back to Nice and spending an entire month there, instead of the single night passing through that we ended up doing.
