@cbb59
Passionate about sexual and reproductive rights. Lover of golden retrievers, my fam, social justice in all forms, and an open and free press.
Tonight, the one and only, legendary, incomparable Buddy Guy, who just turned 90 last week!
So @neal.house.gov FINALLY exercised his Congressional oversight responsibility to visit the ICE “field office” in Burlington. With his 9/1 primary looming, Neal suddenly decides to show his face. I hope challenger @jeromiewhalen.bsky.social sends him packing. www.wwlp.com/news/massach...
Who says Aston’s therapy dog gig at @bostonchildrens.bsky.social Peabody doesn’t have side benefits? #watchingfish
Unemployment benefits, workmen’s comp, Social Security. They exist thanks to Frances Perkins. John & I visited her homestead today in Newcastle, ME, which was her refuge. She was the first woman appointed to a presidential cabinet & a chief architect of the New Deal. How did we not learn about her?
Hiked Segerstrom Preserve at Squam Creek today. It’s a nice hike, but I don’t remember much. We forgot to pack bug spray and I literally RAN the last 20 minutes of the 1-hour hike while being chased by hungry insects. John and the dogs, meanwhile, were in their element Aston snuggles back at home.
THANK YOU for YOUR generosity! We’ve raised $11,400 during today’s fundraiser! We still have some time left so let’s see if we can get to $12K (or more)! Pls share with anyone you know who’d like to donate! Scan the QR code or use the direct link: thefirstparishinbedford.breezechms.com/give/online
You’ve joined us in the bitter cold and blistering heat as we bear witness against the illegal & immoral actions of ICE. Now, we need your help to raise funds for our continued work, through our 1-day fundraiser on 7/8. You can donate online or in-person; full details available here on 7/8!
WEDNESDAY STANDOUT CANCELLED at @BearingWitness due to extreme heat predicted. In lieu of the standout, contact your member of Congress & insist an unannounced inspection of Burlington ICE be made. Meanwhile, take care of yourself, check on others during this extreme heat & see you next week!
Juneteenth is an extremely important day in the lives of Black Americans & African Americans. For non-BIPOC Americans like me (and maybe you) the day offers a solemn reflection on our nation’s shameful history of enslavement — and a chance to commit to fighting racism every single day going forward.
50 true American patriots attended the highway overpass visibility event in Newburyport this afternoon! We enjoyed many supportive honks &👍🏻 signs from motorists & numerous air horns from truckers. Great way to celebrate #FlagDay while ignoring some white trash event in DC. Long live DEMOCRACY 🇺🇸
C’mon down to the Topsfield Common for the Pride Parade & Festival, 1-4 hosted by the Tri-Town Human Rights Coalition. I’m representing the Acord Food Pantry, which offers help for ANYONE (regardless of financial starting Learn more at acordfoodpantry.org. Come say hi! 🌈❤️ 🐠
Topsfield Select Board (Rafael McDonald; Michelle Mercier-Link, Robert Kmetz, Christopher Ruggles; Gregory Cerino) and Town Administrator (Kevin Harutunian): why isn’t the Pride Progress Flag flying for the Pride Parade & Festival tmrw & ‘cause June is Pride Month? It’s flying in other cities/towns.
My dear friend Neil Ungerleider, is participating in Essex County Greenbelt’s Art in the Barn, 6/12-6/13. His exquisite photo, “Galicia,” is for sale at the event. Artists like Neil contribute 50% or more of sale proceeds to Greenbelt’s land conservation work. www.ecga.org/events/art-i....
On Saturday, June 6 join @de-icecitizensbank.org at bank standouts across the country to tell @citizensbank.bsky.social to STOP financing ICE detention centers. More info/join an action: www.mobilize.us/deicecitizens/. Consider hosting actions on other days that week: www.mobilize.us/deicecitizen...
Memorial Day 2026 in Topsfield, featuring the Proctor School band. Due to rain, the parade was cancelled & the ceremony was moved indoors at the school. It’s always wonderful to see such a turnout. Cant get to a ceremony? Instead quietly honor a veteran today who gave her/his life for our country. 🫡

So grateful and honored to be chosen Essex County Greenbelt Association’s Volunteer of the Year! It’s the best organization around 🙌🏻
When your birthday falls on Mothers’ Day, it’s double the love. Today included breakfast at Honeycomb, a hike at Greenbelt‘s Kamon Farm, chopping down trees & clearing brush in our back 40, some tennis, a grilled salmon dinner, and a surprise music-themed cake (aka Rock Voices). I am blessed. ❤️🐾🐾
Happy birthday to our beautiful Aston, who turns 8 today. She is loving, loyal, funny, a hard-working therapy dog, and a, ahem, tolerant big sister to Sassy. We love you, Asty!!! ❤️🐾🐾
Today was the Acord Food Pantry volunteer appreciation event, with delicious treats from Blue Bird Mobile Bakery. Fun & thoughtful way for us volunteers to hang out & be recognized. Food insecurity is extremely high in MA, so services like Acord offer critical support to individuals and families.
Essex County Trail Association’s annual mtg shared many events & initiatives they sponsor, including new trails etiquette signage for horseback riders, cyclists, and dog walkers. ECTA Pres & friend Martha Sanders was then recognized for years of service, followed by a speaker on VT’s Long Trail. 🤩
Somebody is very sleepy after her therapy dog work today at Boston Children’s Hospital in Peabody. Giving love to patients, families, and staff takes some big energy. ❤️🐾🐾
