Spalted maple tumbler. Terrible pics, but you get the idea. Rock-simple design, but a lot of nuance went into the build. Tung oil finish, this will deliver wine and liquor to my face for decades to come.

In my defense it was Roku gin, a Japanese brew that is absolutely delightful, especially for the price. It's hot a balls here, bottle isn't stored cold, and I didn't want to water it down with a bunch of ice that would instantly melt. Live and learn.

With Google making their pivot to more heavily AI-based search results, it looks like they're still wide open to prompt manipulation. The enshitification continues.

Google search for "ignore all previous instructions" has an AI overview that reads "I am ready to assist you. How can I help today?".
This is followed by a search result of a Reddit thread in r/ChatGPTCoding titled "'Ignore all previous instructions' is it really that easy? (API)"

Adventures in learning Japanese! When you sit down and study these kana side by side, you can pick out some clear (if subtle) differences. But seeing them solo, in the wild, with varying fonts, and packed inside words/sentences, シ vs ツ is a pain to make out.

Fun with AI and learning Japanese! Googled "Japanese goodbye informal", got this result, and trying to be a good student I worked on sounding out the kana. Glad I did.. じゃあ is "jia a", pronounced "jia" with a long "a". "ja ne" would be... Maybe じゃね ("well then")? Either way, not the same!
