Brum meet tomorrow. I usually head into Birmingham/West Mids conurbation at least once a fortnight but due to various things including the stupid temperatures I've not actually been across there for more than a month now

CFz was fun this year but there's this feeling while I was there like, i want to be involved again with running it somehow to put something back into the fandom which is why I got involved in the first place. But now at this moment I'm less sure on that. Will give things time to play out.
captain, it's wednesday
I don't know, i feel weird now. Like I've reached stalemate with myself.
Latest arrival is a Seiko 7A38 chronograph, have wanted this specific style for years and got lucky on ebay last week. Used slow-motion on the chrono hands in action
Thought this one was no longer around but for the first time in ages i have met this cat on a road nearby. Very exited for fuss and will yell MAU at me while headbutting my legs.
Met up with a dog yesterday to go aimlessly exploring on network daytrippers, we visited new stations, rode buses and trams and also walked through Digbeth to see graffiti and old pissoirs Today is very aimless so I'm heading to sit by the lake at the NEC for a few hours

Back in 2012 I helped replace the beIIs in the church by Moseley Village station and we used the disused area of land by the railway to offload the frame and beIIs (me in the red shirt). Never thought back then that some day the land would eventually become the entrance to a reopened station.
Animals are chosen to be on heraldry mostly because of physical or characteristic properties those animals were percieved to have, eg. the heraldry for my city has an elephant with a castle on its back, the elephant signififies strength and stability and the castle is the city or civilisation.
The unreal joy of seeing the cuts into the marble by people nearly a thousand years ago with such imagination and passion
#MedievalMonday Back in 2024 while visiting the area I grew up in I went to visit an otherwise fairly unremarkable village church that contains a rarity in this country, a font carved in black marble in a place called Tournai in the 1100s. It's covered in the most fantastic creatures.
