my old (2005??) alchemist from iRO... i remember making up a backstory for her as a kid while i was getting her leeched in clock tower. iirc her mom tested forbidden alchemy on her in the aldebaran clock tower and it damaged her eyes. she wanted to become an alchemist to get her sight back
i tried the new RO mobile game out of morbid curiosity. it is very cute, and the art/visual style is fitting for the ragnarok world...but it is regrettably terrible to play on multiple levels. the only thing i must praise is the fact that one of the pets you can get is a pink siroma. she is perfect.
anyway sorry for not drawing as much recently. i'm a little bit this right now. i'm trying to fix it.
picked the gunner. it's pretty interesting! i forgot how much i liked phys ranged in this game. the skills are flashy and fun and pairs well enough with astrology. might give alchemic sharpshooter (the bow specialization) a try too once i am done with arsenal gunner...
visiting elf to get another few story/skill jumps from the summer event... not sure which new arcana i want to try. i maxed the skills for the idol puppetmaster and the monk ones that are coming next month, but the alchemy gunner from the last batch seems cool too...
spent some time trying to iron out a layer-based pose/expression system for portraits. i think i've managed to organize it well enough...or as well as one can organize a pile of sai layers. now to try and replicate it for all the other characters!!!
had a bunch of tests today at the hospital… they took far more blood than i was expecting them to and i was very brave about it so i treated myself to what might be the world’s politest doughnut. and some other doughnuts for later.
this week’s sauce!! i used more finely chopped tomatoes for a smoother texture… i had to sweeten it a bit more than last week’s but it went well with the chicken parm i made!! i butterflied a single serving of chicken this time too so we have an extra serving i can cook tomorrow with the leftovers
it came out great!!! the meatballs were more tender than when i just pan-fry and simmer them. it’s a much chunkier sauce though and we have a lot left over… so i’m thinking it’ll be nice to dress it up with eggs as a shakshouka or have it with some toasty bread later this week.
been simmering a sunday sauce and meatballs for a few hours… gonna serve it with some rigatoni
she's getting forklift certified (read: i'm grinding her crafters to 100 after forgetting about them for two years. oops.)
