Canada Post 🍁 has launched an online store selling home stuff, kitchenware, gift ideas, toys and more from Canadian retailers 🔗 canadashops.ca
Canada and the U.S. share the same air. Politicians need to stop the burning of fossil fuels instead of pointing fingers
Happy July things. Coffee with a view & going to my first dance class (in a mask) in 5 years! 🎶
Check out the skies on the ferry last night. I'm hoping this is a good omen as I ring in a new year 🥰
Lots of people assume that we need permanent daylight saving time to prevent SAD, but the science 🧬 says it will likely increase the prevalence and severity of SAD 🔗 www.centreforbrainhealth.ca/news/why-day...
I was mad I didn't get yesterday's right away given H5N1. Also wordle reminded my third guess was an archaic word lol
Covid was reported on Jan 13 but it took a week to bring in any airborne mitigations such as respirator masks. The initial emphasis was on handwashing. Fail www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes...
From the new @oecd-ocde.bsky.social report on Long Covid. Preventing new Covid cases isn't about living in the past. It's about protecting our future collective health, education, work & the economy
Exactly. People think of long Covid as a binary state - you either have it or you don't. But another way LC exists is by turning up the volume dial to various extents on pre-existing conditions
Came home to find my daughter and her boyfriend left these in my room for me. I love 💜 Gen Z
Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there. It’s the second without mine 💔 Missing him today & thinking of all the dads who show up every day for their kids. Just know that all the work you do matters & is worth it
If people need an office for mental health as this NYT piece claims, by the same logic, retirement is a public health crisis. Better get Grandma a Microsoft Teams account & a 2 hour commute (sarcasm)
Ahh yes, apparently death is the only outcome in the lingering pandemic stress equation
There seems to be an elephant 🐘 in the room in that remote work piece. Why is mental distress on the rise post 2020? Any theories?
“Although we exclude the peak pandemic years of 2020–2021, a lasting differential effect of the pandemic on remotable workers could confound our results.”
💯 and I would add that if you're a scientist who hasn't been wrong or can't admit that you have been, you are likely not to be trusted
Random, but was looking through old travel pics & realize how much I miss Japan. Especially their absurd & hilarious signage "Please be careful so that cotton candy does not hit the neighbouring visitors"
Oh my heart ❤️ As others have said, Maya is Canada's face of resilience 📸 David Gebala, Maya's father, Facebook
This kid is such a hero - she's making so much progress. Her smile made my week ❤️ (For those outside B.C., Maya is a survivor of the Tumbler Ridge school shooting and was shot in the head and neck)
Submitted my 4-hr timed exam. Thank you to my dear friend, midnight coffee #gradschool
This is such an honest post, so sharing it here too. I'm not going to change a thing either, it's just hard. People will say removing your mask is better than losing community, but they haven't experienced years of post-viral illness
Boosting to help Maya & her mom find a wheelchair accessible home to rent in Vancouver. Maya was the victim of a school shooting in Tumbler Ridge 💔
