Cat owner, book addict, fabric hoarding nightmare.
There are still some threads that need trimming, but I'm happy that my wall quilt is now done.
The quilt is done, spread it out to check for threads I missed and to get photos, both cats are now assisting by shedding all over it. I guess nothing is done without the final layer of cat hair.
I come bearing a Pierre photo. He semi-regularly helps himself to my pillows, including wrapping himself around my head while I'm trying to sleep.
The annual pollen apocalypse is heeeeeeere. Even if you don't have allergies, the sheer amount of crap in the air will irritate your eyes, nose, and lungs. May we not have a repeat of last year's record breaking misery.
Redneck problems call for redneck solutions. Atlanta's about to go into our infamously nightmarish pollen season, so it seemed like a great time to build a Corsi–Rosenthal box and hope that it'll cut back on pollen counts in the house.
Here's my afternoon. I just wanted to try to get a sense of how many more blocks I need to make/some idea of the layout. Of course that immediately meant that Pierre had to make himself comfortable right in the middle of things.
I have approximately four inches left on the last row. I am not allowed to finish, obviously.
I sort of mentally divide the year up based on what kind of sheets are on the bed. Part of me looks forward to the flannel sheets. Today was the day for swapping them out & it's fairly obvious the cats are also fans of the sheet change.
This is what life is like having a cat with a full-blown carb obsession. Those rolls were in the pantry, on a shelf at eye level (I'm nearly six feet tall). I'm not sure how he got them down, but this is where I found them this morning, covered in chew marks, bag ripped open.
One of my air plants produced twin pups. Here I am, going "awwwwwww, look at the little cute plants". I'm going to have to figure out a new place for my air plants, I'm running out of room. I have to find a spot where the orange cat can't get to them, he likes to steal them.
Oh hey, cat. You don't like being annoyed when you're trying to nap? Fancy that. I don't like being annoyed in the middle of the night. Maybe we can work out something here, what do you think?
