You can get a better idea of the loose Florida weave concept I am playing with this year in the background of this video I took today of one of my eggplants. I’m growing peppers and eggplants “in front” of the tomatoes from the morning sun’s POV. Both are fully in the shade by 3 pm.
This year all my tomatoes hide under a tunnel of their own branches. Florida weave + sculptural training is yielding interesting results. I might need to move to a small market garden farm because it’s pretty clear gardening is my happy place.

Another wild iris bloomed this evening. We’ve had them three years and this is the first year we’re getting blooms. I am going to be insufferable when the cone flowers and rose mallows blossom, this is the first year the pollinator garden is showing off what it can do for people and not just bugs.

Added the water and the butter and kneaded each bowl until it passed the windowpane test. Now for the first proof while we go out to xmas eve dinner and I’ll do the lamination before the second proof overnight.
Waiting for the butter to soften so I’m setting these aside. Once the butter is soft enough I’ll toss 250g of water in each bowl to start the yeast and then mix them with the dough hook until they pass the window pane test then its on to the first prove and time to make the butter block.
