Our poor girl has terrible arthritis. The vet started her in Silensia injections a few months ago & she is feeling so much better. The highest bedding shelves are no longer used for napping, but she is using the top of her tree and in the past few days had zoomies 2 days in a row. So glad for this.
New washer installed yesterday after our elderly washing machine became non-repairable. The cats had thoughts. The girl gave it serious side-eye. The boy noped out of the room and is rediscovering the comfort of under the bed. Poor kitties.
Thank you. It’s not easy but your podcasts and your activism helps a lot. Even if it’s just a few hours of escape hearing about Larry, your shoebill bird, or Toni’s cutie with a booty, Mr. Totes. We’ll have to start calling our Sven this as je is a well-nourished 18lbs of sweetness
Poor Fiasco! Holiday shares ypur pain. When human moves too many things she finds places to hide and take a clawed swipe at anyone moving anything else. Weeding bookcases was especially upsetting. But empty shelves a good place to hide and attack hands that reach for more books.
Here she is with her fountain although this time she’s drinking from the pool rather than the faucet. She likes to mix it up.
We have a salad aficionado as well. Here he is checking for his weekly purchase of cat grass.
Quite the day. Rode the first light rail train that connects across a large lake on a floating bridge then attended a No Kings protest on that same floating bridge.
Not sure about regulations and space set-up. We have a heavy duty locking security screen door on the front and some bird feeders on the porch. We open front door but screen closed and place their beds behind the screen. Kitty TV of a sort.
5 years and a couple of months ago we welcomed these beautiful rescue cats into our home. There has not been a day that has passed that they haven’t made us laugh at their goofy antics. A few challenges and I would not trade them for the world.
Clearly it’s a nest in the making. Everyone knows that soft paper nests are the gold standard. Sven prefers honeycomb packing paper for all the crinkles and ease of ripping.
Lego mini orchid. Can take to work and not worry about killing it or just losing all flowers. 😊. Small enough to sit on my desk. I have my eye on the plum blossom or bonsai in the future. At some point I’ll go really big and get the Endurance Lego model and maybe Notre Dame. But for now this works.
He has a little button that when you push it he says “Denny Crane” it was a Christmas or birthday gift to my partner shortly after we got together. I introduced him to Boston Legal and Fenny became an all time fav.

It does seem to be a trait. Ours actually does like some belly rubs for short stretches and likes using our feet for pillows.

Yes. There is an observatory on a ridge about 5 miles from the volcano. It’s where the scientists were camped observing and where Johnston died. They didn’t know about lateral blasts and the reason that ridge was clear. She looms over you. Ground is littered w/ old trees blown down and lava bombs.
These two don’t often hang out near each other but a sun beam last summer was too delicious to pass up. Happy holidays to all from the Pacific Northwest.
