Summary of fic:"I don't want your fucking pity," Ghost spits.

"It's not pity, it's empathy," John growls, straightening up instinctively, his heart hammering in his chest at the familiar surge of anger flaring up. He won't give him the validation of lashing out in his face. He leans to the side and flicks the switch of the lamp next to the couch. Ghost hisses and squints his eyes when the sudden light hits his face unexpectedly.

"What do you want, then?", he continues with a controlled calm to his voice, "Changed your mind? I can help you building your connection with your pelt again, you know that."

Ghost stays silent, his eyes flaring with anger and frustration while he stares John down viciously. He hasn't left the room yet, though. John might still have an angle, then.

"We wouldn't do it too fast. We can stop anytime," John pleads, "You can trust me. It's all under your control, Simon."

Summary of Chapter 5:
Ghost realises he was wrong in the way he imagined the kelpie. First of all, he underestimated the size when he heard about a 'huge beast'. Ghost is a large man, tall as well as wide and muscular, yet he feels entirely dwarfed by it in this moment. Even if he was standing instead of sprawled on the floor against the cover, his head would barely reach the shoulders of this massive beast.

The more significant misconception are the eyes, though. Wrongly led by depictions of kelpies similar to the one in Johnny's room, he always imagined red or black glowing eyes. A bit cliche, but what about folklore isn't cliche?

However, staring at the giant horse in person now, Ghost is met with vibrant, icy blue eyes piercing into his with an intensity that has him shuddering involuntarily.

He gets up, pacing the room while Ghost's eyes follow his motions, "I don't know, I– maybe? I couldn't really see it… God… It does sound a bit like a kelpie though. I mean… in theory." He broods in silence for a while, continuing to stalk across the floor. Johnny always does that when he's agitated or has to work through something. "I'm just… are you sure it's real?" Ghost and Soap spend some time together after the mission, saying important things.$

Summary of the fic: Ghost can feel that something's off with the new transfer into their team the moment the man steps out of the heli with swaying hips and an easy smile curling around his lips.
Ghost is about to lose his mind. He cannot identify what's throwing him off about Soap. Even worse, he feels his heartbeat picking up every time he catches Soap's gaze on him, the constant blush in his vicinity not even throwing him off anymore with how much he has get used to it.
He's beyond fucked. Maybe there isn't even something special about Soap, maybe Ghost just has an insane crush on the Scot.
