🗨️We continued with one-on-one mentoring sessions. Participants consulted our experts Prof. Dr. May-Britt Stumbaum, @lionelfatton.bsky.social, @alicakizekova.bsky.social and @ivanakaraskova.bsky.social with their current career trajectories. The participants returned motivated by many new insights!
🎮Paulína Ovečková ran a crisis simulation & put players in the shoes of US, China, Russia, Japan & France, as they navigated a tense confrontation over the Senkaku/Diaoyu Islands. The excitement in the room was a reminder that global crises become different when you're the one making the decisions.
🌞Day 3 of #FutureCHOICE #SummerSchool started with a spot-on lecture by Professor Dr. May-Britt U. Stumbaum (The SPEAR Institute), who presented the military & political perspectives of how an Indo-Pacific conflict could affect Europe. @amo.cz
🖼️ We closed the day with a tour of the Jesuit College Art Exhibitions and a group dinner wrapped up the evening. The AMO team can't wait look forward to the days ahead! 🚀
⚡Then we experienced a city-wide electricity blackout! Ass. Prof. @lionelfatton.bsky.social (Webster University, Meiji University), delivered his lecture on Japan's Indo-Pacific Playbook in a very unique outside setting.
🎲 We followed with an Indo-Pacific crisis simulation moderated by AMO's @ivanakaraskova.bsky.social and Paulína Ovečková and a tour of St. Barbara's Cathedral.⛪
👉Day 2 was opened by Jagannath Panda, Head of the Stockholm Center for South Asian and Indo-Pacific Affairs at @isdp-sweden.bsky.social, with a session on Europe's role in the Indo-Pacific enhanced by insights from India.
👉 Day 1 started strong with a thought-provoking keynote address by H.E. Jakub Landovský, the Czech Government's Special Envoy for the Fulfillment of Obligations towards NATO.
