also, the highlight of this whole trip, though in a much quieter way than those other moments: I found THIS BOOK at my favorite vintage bookstore that THANK THE STARS is still there. It's a reprint from the 1960s. written in the late 1950s. And against all odds: this book was written FOR ME.
