it is very messy but i made this lil ewaste oasis and horse/rider and leave it by the window sill. The solar panel and super cap still work enough to capture some energy for the lil pond led. Pictured below are two different angles of the same set up
ive designed 4 different families for anwaar but only the amulet is considered finished. Bottom row of the photo shows the different families. Amulet, Pendant, Al Bab, Khamsa. on the top are a various faceplates. Teo ive shared a bunch of times but the other two older ones i havent.

here’s some pictures of book block experiments for case binding ive been doing as well. In these im heating up the anti static bags to attempt to kind of laminate them to the pcb. got mixed results but i think it warrants more attempts.
Recently I’ve some coptic style binding that is a perfect use case with no adhesives. My stitching is sloppy, but i've made a couple proof of concepts. Pictured below are a couple notebooks i made using ewaste-destined bare pcbs from my old job as book boards

keyboard ppl, i've been testing a socket for hot swap alps and i think i found something that works alright, specially for complicated alps, probably simplified and clones (all three pictured) here's a thread on my mastodon, i do not feel like transposing it for here: chaos.social/@chipperdood...
ugh yeah it’s bad, i use some for book binding but thats unpopulated stuff, it’s hard to repurpose the smaller stuff. i had this one idea to make them into fake bugs and put them in little ewaste terrariums
Here’s the ‘slab’, renamed later to ‘Al Bab’ family. this was the last anwaar family prototype design to get a pcb made so there are fewer revisions. Its approximately 2x the length of the amulet while maintaining the same width. I messed around with a 90f, a 30f and a 30f solar harvesting board.
speaking of Here’s 9 different revisions and evolutions of the unreleased anwaar pendent bases, these are just ones that are pcbs i have, some never got a pcb order but most did. timeline is 2020-2024 on these ones
ive made so many more arduino compatible boards than ive ever released, it’s kinda nuts. this is just a small sample of designs, boards and revisions i have for anwaar
i made a bunch of trans anarchist face plates but i dont think i know that many whod want a programmable amulet
testing runtimes on the extra amulets i had (i just bought the hybrid caps recently to finish them).
i soldered up some extra anwaar amulets and trans related face plates today

I was tickled by these ones, in the second panel we see castor oyl convincing himself not to be scared by reciting some words of self confidence. I’m particularly taken by “I’m the berries!”
one thing i noticed is that “We’re cooked” has been around a while, though i think there are newer modern nuances to the term this one is still around in the same meaning

trying to practice doing vid thumbnails for vods and i get to draw over bulbul like a paper doll
