The SNP won the election on a mandate for a second independence referendum. Mr Swinney envisages a referendum in 2028. Can we hear more from them about that please, rather than devolution?
This says everything about the absurdity of the so-called "union of equals." Scotland is treated as little more than a region of England, with no real respect for its status as a proud nation or for the democratic aspirations of those seeking independence. NOW IS THE TIME

Scotland doesn't want more devolution and we shouldn't be begging for it like an obedient dog. Only independence will do and now is the time "Both votes SNP" at the next Holyrood election isn't the message the independence movement needs or wants to hear. We need positive and meaningful progress.
Scotland fans travel the world with nothing more than hope in their hearts, not a pretentious sense of entitlement that they have a given right to win every match or tournament Of course we're disappointed when we lose but we come home having enjoyed the experience, backed our team & made memories.
I agree. However, even if Scotland wouldn't be one of the richest countries in Europe, we'd still be far better off than remaining trapped in a clearly broken and dysfunctional system that unfairly binds us to Westminster's vision of the Union.

Just out of interest, if someone saw the bio below, particularly for the first time, do you think they might have been confused that it was North East Bylines and not a network across the UK? I don't think you should change your name but it might be worth including "North East Bylines" in your bio.
Prime Ministers at Westminster are rarely the core issue. The real problem lies in the wider Westminster establishment and the corporate and vested interests that sustain it, including the flow of large donations to individuals and party coffers. Scotland has an alternative. End Westminster rule
Both the SNP and the Scottish Greens need to be far more vocal in campaigning for IndyRef2 and Scotland's independence. They must strike while the iron is hot, building momentum rather than allowing opportunities to fade. Now is the time 👍
Scotland's NHS is always just one Holyrood election away from being dismantled and brought down into line with NHS England The SNP cannot and will not govern forever. That's why independence is more important now than ever to put Scotland's public services beyond the reach of Westminster politics.
John, Are you still pushing for a referendum by 2028, as you said in April? No hitting pause on independence this time round, please.
Holyrood passed a motion calling on Starmer to grant a S30 order. Mr Swinney has said he will meet Starmer to press the democratic mandate from the pro-indy Holyrood majority. Now they should Publish a draft Referendum Bill and hold further debates/motions in Holyrood to reinforce the mandate.
