Today @butserancientfarm.co.uk was a "play day" after we finished the log store. Dave brought in a prototype of a cart which caused much food for evaluative thought and discussion about alterations, potential improvements. The design process embedded in experimental archaeology.

Today @butserancientfarm.co.uk, while the site was a hive of activity preparing for a corporate event tomorrow, Dave and I pursued our goal of roofing the log store, using timber offcuts from last weekend's wood fair. Nearly there. Just a few ends to tie up, literally.
Yesterday at @butserancientfarm.co.uk we progressed the woodstore, scavenging and recycling pallets and wood from around the site. Hopefully the weather will be kind next week so we can roof it and put the finishing touches. Then there's the "simple" job of moving logs ... retirement?
Wednesday at @butserancientfarm.co.uk. the planters built last week have been filled and planted, hopefully "guiding" people onto the safe access slope...

Wednesday at @butserancientfarm.co.uk means shifting 1.5 tons of soil into a new daub pit and starting the base for a new log store. Jason, Dave and I worked well together. Labouring and laughing.

My day at @butserancientfarm.co.uk was spent creating boxes to hold the baskets of archaeology trowels, incorporating a seat for school visitors who might need to sit down to have a go. One more to make next week.
@chichesterft.bsky.social last night, the premiere of Eclipse by John Morton, writer of W1A, 2012 and 2026. Excellent set and cast brought the "spartan" script to life, of a family dealing with the death of a parent. Interactions speaking as loud as words...

If this threat is carried out, it won't be "a civilisation" dying. It will effectively be civilisation as we have known it dying, largely on the whim of one person, aided and abetted by his hand-chosen henchmen and women. The TV "celebrity" creating his own biopic in real time.

Volunteering @butserancientfarm.co.uk; lifting and shifting, as a part of building from repurposed materials. The old pigsty and fence rails repurposed as a "bus/bike shelter". Education staff can have somewhere to stand/sit when waiting for coaches to arrive. Final touch-a seat, next Wednesday.
Today @butserancientfarm.co.uk Dave and I sourced from various old project left overs and cut timbers to create the rear roof and roof supports for a covered area beside the car park. Its really make do and reuse; much of it used to be the pigsty walls.
A "naked" wicker man @butserancientfarm.co.uk prepared for lifting and then "lifted" into place. Team work building on preparation. Now teams will weave the statue, and fill the frame, ready for burning at Beltain.
Pleasing volunteer day @butserancientfarm.co.uk. Early task to help move two 10m pine trunks out of the woods. Then, there was time to cover the cold frame with polythene sheeting. Project finished. All timber prepared on site, making use of scavenged wood. A speciality; slightly more creative.
A breakout from current political intrigues and worse. The art of concentration and playing together. Might need the return of the collective protest song.
A tiered system existed for SEN monitoring, School Action and School Action plus, tracking identified needs and records through in-house and externally supported discussions. After using school and external advice, an EHCP assessment would be sought, based on the evidence trail. SEN cribsheet 2014.
